CAPTAINS SIMON AND ALLISON DOWNEY

Greetings,

We’re glad that you are checking out our church website today. Together we are the Corps Officers/Pastors at Woodroffe, a vibrant community of Christ-followers.

We believe that Jesus is the Saviour of our world, and desire to follow Him with our whole being. We gather each Sunday to worship God and to celebrate the difference he is making in our lives. We also connect throughout the week, as friends growing together through a variety of groups designed to help us live out our faith.

At Woodroffe you will find people of different ages, stages and backgrounds who, like yourself, are seeking belonging and purpose in life. While realizing that we haven’t made it yet, we choose to journey together, and gain a sense of hope in doing so.

We’d love to have the opportunity to meet you, and to share the joy, peace, love and hope that we are finding in living life God’s way. Please get in touch if we can be of service to you in any way.

Simon and Allison were commissioned as Salvation Army officers with the BridgeBuilders Session in 2004. Following a 3 year appointment in Drumheller, Alberta, the Downeys were appointed to Woodroffe Community Church in Ottawa. Their love for Jesus and His world compels them to live their lives and lead the church in seeking God’s kingdom here on earth. They have three children.
